Six-year update
Last weekend we took Miles to the museum of natural history in New York not for the first time, but for the first time since his brain became what it is lately, awake and ravenous. Before we went, we tried to ply him with anticipation: There will be dinosaurs! A giant whale! He asked, Will there be cars?
And I was able to tell him, There are tractors, tiny like toys.
Here’s us looking at them, and here’s the essay I wrote that explains why they’re there, along with everything else about this strange little hall and what it means in the museum, which this picture feels like a six-years-later answer to. (Pardon my hair.)
