New books come out on Tuesdays, and this past Tuesday I spooked the hell out of myself by counting the weeks until my book comes out: SIX. I was expecting seven or eight, and for some reason six feels like a whole different category of soonness. Six weeks! Even less than that now, two days later. Five weeks and change??? I’m fine, I’m fine.
I’m not fine, of course. I’m excited as hell and incredibly impatient, eager for any news or reviews or for a friend with an early copy to text me a screenshot of a line they really liked. (PLEASE.)
One thing that makes everything feel closer is this: announcing my launch events. I’m hopeful that additional events in additional cities might be possible later this spring and summer, but for now, two kick-offs:
NYC & virtual: April 19th I’ll be in conversation with Leslie Jamison at Books Are Magic Montague. This event will also stream on youtube. For in-person tickets or to register for the stream, go here.
CT: On April 22nd I’ll be doing an event with my beloved local indie, River Bend Bookshop, at Hops on the Hill Brewery in Glastonbury. I’ll be in conversation with Isaac Fitzgerald. Info & registration here.
Leslie and Isaac are both friends and writers I admire and love, and I’m so excited to get to talk to them and maybe meet some of you?? And if you can’t be there for me to sign your book, remember you can preorder a personalized copy from River Bend, just tell me in the order comments whom you’d like me to make it out to.
